San Francisco’s murder rate has been going up the past few years, but it seems gang violence is nothing new here. This video from the Prelinger Archives was made in 1961 by some gang members as part of a community service project. They don’t seem very scary. In fact, these gangs are downright cute. The Chinese gang is known as “The Lonely Ones” and they have pompadours. Adorable.
